One Day of Hope: Why I Started This Journey

I didn’t start *One Day of Hope* because I had everything figured out. I started it because I know what it feels like to walk through hard seasons and wonder if things will ever get better.

There have been days in my life when getting out of bed felt heavy. Days when I went to church and still felt unseen. Days when I didn’t have the words to pray, but I had tears. And there were also days when I wasn’t in a church building at all, but God still met me right where I was.

Those moments shaped me. They reminded me that pain is real, but so is hope.

I started *One Day of Hope* because I wanted to create a space for people like you—whether you attend church every Sunday, haven’t been in years, or aren’t sure what you believe at all. I wanted a place where we could be honest about our struggles and still point to the hope that holds us together.

I know what it’s like to feel:

- Overwhelmed by life

- Unsure of the future

- Hurt by people, even people of faith

- Tired of pretending you’re “okay”

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too.

In my own journey, I’ve learned that hope isn’t about having a perfect life or a perfect faith. It’s not about always feeling strong or spiritual. Hope, for me, is a person—Jesus Christ.

Jesus has met me in the middle of my mess, not after I cleaned it up. He has sat with me in the dark places, not just the bright ones. He has reminded me, again and again, that as long as I have breath in my lungs, my story isn’t over.

That’s where the phrase *“one day of hope” comes from.

It’s the belief that:

- No matter what you’re facing today,

- No matter how heavy the past has been,

- No matter how uncertain tomorrow feels,

God can still meet you in this one day.

Sometimes hope looks big and bold—like a miracle, a breakthrough, or a clear answer to prayer. Other times, it looks small and quiet—like the strength to get through one more day, one more conversation, one more step.

Both are hope.

I didn’t want this space to feel like a sermon or a lecture. I wanted it to feel like sitting across the table from a friend, with a cup of coffee or tea between us, talking honestly about life, faith, and healing.

So whether you’re:

- Deeply rooted in church life

- Still healing from church hurt

- Curious but cautious about faith

- Or simply scrolling and happened to land here

You are welcome here.

My prayer is that as you read these blogs, you’ll feel seen, not judged. Encouraged, not pressured. Invited, not pushed.

I will talk about Jesus because He is my source of hope. But I will also talk about real pain, real questions, and real struggles—because that’s where many of us live. I believe God is not afraid of our questions or our doubts. He meets us in them.

As long as we have breath, there is always one more chance to see God move. One more chance to feel His love. One more chance to believe that healing is possible. That’s what *One Day of Hope* is all about—taking life one day at a time, holding on to the truth that hope is still alive.

Thank you for being here, for reading, and for letting me share a piece of my heart with you. It means more than you know.

I hope you’ll come back for future blogs as we keep walking this journey of faith, healing, and hope together—one day of hope at a time.
